Welcome to the Adult and Community Education Center page called Apple Seeds. What are we talking about? We are very proud of our instructors, the work produced by them and their students. Now we have an opportunity to share with you what they have accomplished by taking an adult enrichment class or classes. Once a year, a teacher's meeting is held to bring the instructors and ACEC staff together to meet new teachers and/or staff members, to renew relationships and to review policies and procedures, old and new. When ACEC first moved to the Shade Avenue address, a decision was made to hold an "open house" so that students would see our new location. It was a huge success in December 2004. The December 2005 was a bigger success. Now it has become an annual event. Students, old and new, visit our site, meet some of the instructors, see demonstrations of their work, speak to them about what they teach, and meet the ACEC staff. Click here to see the 2006 photos.
ACEC has worked diligently towards partnering with organizations throughout Sarasota. These partnerships have proven to be advantageous to all parties. Adult Enrichment classes are open to adults, age 18 and older, unless otherwise noted, effective Fall 2006.
