Ballroom Dance Beginning I (9 sessions)
You too can dance like a star! Join this class to learn the latest dance craze. It is designed to make the beginner comfortable on the dance floor or to help those dancers who might like to brush up on their skills. Master the basic movements, and then develop your own personal style as you learn the graceful waltz, the ever popular fox trot and swing, and the standard cha-cha, tango, or rumba. Enjoy this fun-filled class as you learn proper dance floor etiquette. Cost is per person. Registering with a partner is preferred as partners of the opposite sex are not guaranteed.

Ballroom Dance Beginning II (9 sessions)
Learn additional steps for the fox trot, cha-cha, rumba, waltz, and swing. Steps for the tango and salsa are also taught, along with new techniques. Cost is per person. Must register with a partner. Prerequisite: Must have taken Ballroom or know the steps from Ballroom I.

Belly Dance, Beginning (8 sessions)
This class is for the basic beginning dancer of Middle Eastern Art known as Raks Sharki or as we Westerners call it…belly dance. It is an Egyptian form of Oriental Dance which began as a birth ritual for women, now the workout craze of the millennium! Focus on technique, posture and Arabic rhythms for zagats (finger cymbals). Wear yoga pants, or shorts and a mid-drift top to see your abdominal movements. Socks or ballet slippers are mandatory as the floor is matted. Bring a friend and make new friends too. Join the excitement! For all ages. Bring a hand towel, pen and paper.

Belly Dance, After the Basics (8 sessions)
This class is for the students who have completed Belly Dance, Beginning. We drill on all of the basic movements, and then combine the upper body with the lower body and focus on fun but challenging combinations.  Traveling movements also are taught to really put the dance together.  Bring your silk veils too!  Prerequisite: Belly Dance, Beginning.

Israeli Dance (6 sessions) NEW
Israeli dancing consolidates the skills of coordination, confidence, memory, fitness and rhythm, and exposes students to a wide variety of musical styles. This dance is a lot of fun and is great for the mind and body. It is highly addictive and can be a stress reliever. Make new friends and enjoy these classes with family. This class will include short circle dances to master basic movement patterns; and will include Middle Eastern, Salsa/Latin, Greek, Russian, Hip-Hop, and more! The mood of these dances is uplifting and inspiring! Make new friends and enjoy these classes with family. Students must present a valid driver's license or a state-issued ID for all YMCA classes.

Line Dance, Beginning (10 sessions)
Learn the basic steps of country western line dancing and some of the favorite easy dances. The class is taught at a moderate speed with lots of repetition and easy choreography. Get into step and have fun with this class for beginners or for those returning to the dance form after many years. Students must present a valid driver’s license or a state-issued ID for all YMCA classes.

Line Dance, Intermediate/Advanced
(10 sessions)
Having mastered the basic steps of line dancing it's time to speed up the action and take on more challenging choreography. Go right into the most popular dances taught at current workshops and dance halls. Feel at home moving at a faster rhythm, adding turns, and pivots along with tricky combinations that will excite the feet and raise the heart rate. Students must present a valid driver’s license or a state-issued ID for all YMCA classes. Prerequisite: Line Dance, Beginning.

Zumba Gold (8 sessions)
Zumba dance/fitness fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout. The goal is simple: want to work out and love working out! Zumba participants achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, heart-racing, muscle-pumping, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba! Zumba is for all ages and all levels of skill and fitness. It's just plain fun!!
